Rock Cruiser Pro opens in under 60 seconds with a gas-strut, intuitive mechanism—practical when you arrive late or in bad weather. When folded, the shell is only 23 cm high, which reduces wind noise and fuel consumption and makes the car easier to park.
Hardshell and crossbars for active use
The aerodynamic aluminum honeycomb hardshell withstands heavy use and offers low wind resistance while driving. Two included crossbars on top let you bring extra gear—such as bikes or a kayak up to 100 kg—without taking up space inside the car.
Materials and climate performance
The outer fabric and inner tent are tailored for Nordic conditions:
- Outer fabric/outer weather protection: treated polyester for UV, mildew, and water resistance.
- Inner tent: 190 g ripstop polycotton, PU 2000 mm—durable and breathable to reduce condensation.
- Floor: 210D poly-oxford, PU 2000 mm.
Ventilation consists of 1 large + 2 smaller vents beneath the outer tent—the solution enables blackout at night while maintaining airflow and minimizing condensation.
Stability in harsh weather
For windy days, storm braces are included that connect to the gas struts. They reduce the load on the mechanism and keep the tent’s shape in strong winds, as well as when the gas struts lose strength over time. No external guying with poles/lines is required under normal use.
Sleep comfort and power/lighting
A 5 cm high-density mattress with an upgraded foam core provides even support across the entire 205 × 140 cm sleeping area (2–3 people). For evening light, there’s a built-in dimmable LED strip powered by a power bank (USB). Interior storage pockets and detachable shoe bags help keep things organized.
